Professional Bio for Gary Glenn
Gary Glenn is a seasoned entrepreneur and business strategist with a career that spans advertising, media, market research, international marketing, and the successful launch and sale of multiple companies. His professional journey began at New York University, where he studied art before entering the fast-paced New York advertising world with agencies including Gary & Ted Bates.
A downturn in the advertising industry during the 1980s opened the door to a new opportunity in media. Gary accepted a position as an account executive for a radio station, beginning what would become a successful career in media sales across radio and television. Over the next several years, he worked in major and mid-sized markets including Houston, New Orleans, San Angelo, St. Louis, and Chicago, earning a reputation for revenue growth and strategic leadership.
Gary later transitioned into the field of market research, joining a firm specializing in consumer behavior insights. This experience provided a foundation for his next role as Vice President of Marketing and Planning for an international sports optics company. In this position, he led global marketing initiatives and helped introduce the company’s products into new international markets.
After several years of extensive travel, Gary returned to the Chicago media landscape as Director of Sales for the ABC Radio Group. There, he oversaw sales growth across multiple stations and successfully doubled the revenue of one station within three years.
Motivated to build something of his own, Gary launched NewsWire One, a corporate news distribution company that delivered press releases across the emerging online landscape. After five years of growth, he successfully sold the company and founded StitchMine, a corporate embroidery and screen-printing business. What began with one machine in a spare bedroom grew into a thriving operation with sixteen machines and a twelve-person team. StitchMine became a respected provider for corporate clients, known for quality, service, and reliability.
Having recently sold StitchMine, Gary is now focused fully on his passion: helping entrepreneurs and small businesses overcome the challenges that lead most new ventures to fail. Through his consulting company, Momentics Growth, he provides hands-on guidance, strategic clarity, and real-world experience developed over decades of building and scaling businesses.
Gary now lives and works in St. Johns, Florida, where he is committed to supporting the success and economic vitality of local startups and small businesses.
